2021.10.24 14:53 calliaz Too Much To Expect?

Hi! I am a 47F who has pretty limited dating experience. I was married for 22 (together 25) years to the first person I ever dated. I had just started dating again a month before the pandemic. I haven't really been serious about the process and take months away from OLD. I work full time and am in grad school. Anyway, I think I screwed up with a guy I had a first date with last Sunday. Before that date, I was a little annoyed that he wouldn't set a time/place until the morning of, but it was just coffee. We really clicked and before the date ended he said he'd like to go out again this weekend and I agreed. Thursday he texted and asked if wanted to get into some trouble this weekend. I said yes and asked when. The next day he suggested Sunday and I agreed. We talked about some plans. I asked for a time/place (one option was my place, so I joked that I needed to know so I could straighten up). Nothing for 24 hours. Here is where I screwed up. I said, "It seems like you have a lot on your plate. When I can't get commitment on a time and place, I feel like a standby option. Am I misreading this?" It is now Sunday morning and I have had no response (which is a response). My question is, was I expecting too much to have a time and place set? Should I have just ignored my feelings and gone with the flow? Finally, I want to send a last text and say that I really appreciated getting to meet him and that I am sorry if I was too pushy. I am pretty sure that makes me sound even crazier. Is there anything I can text and not look bad?

2021.10.24 14:53 lemonmelonlimetime How to night wean while cosleeping?

Baby is 6 months old and started waking up every 2 hours again a few days ago. A couple weeks ago she was sleeping better but regressed again. When she wakes up, usually I had just fed her immediately but last night I tried to wean her by not feeding her in the middle of the night. She cried for about 5 minutes each time and fell back asleep. She went to bed at 8, fell asleep at 8:30, woke up twice and ate, and then I didn't feed her again until 2 am, then again at around 4 am. At that point I just fed her each time she woke up. I'm concerned that what I'm trying to teach her may be too complicated? She was very frustrated this morning and woke up crying a lot.

2021.10.24 14:52 cartoongamermatt Is the Persona series a good entry point in learning how to play mainline SMT?

I used to suck at video games in general. I've gotten better throughout the last few years, but I'm still not great. I usually try to play games on normal difficulty, but I have played some on easy due to higher difficulties sometimes leading to frustration in some games. For example, on normal difficulty Trails in the Sky: The 3rd: Evolution's bosses near the end of the game were painful to fight. I kept dying when they would do their super moves and I got so annoyed I just played through Trails from Zero on easy mode and it was much more enjoyable overall.
In the past few years, I have beaten Xenogears, Xenoblade 1 and 2, Trails of Cold Steel, Trails in the Sky 1 through Trails From Zero, Skies of Arcadia: Legends, Legrand Legacy, Ni No Kuni, etc. So I'm not exactly new to JRPGs anymore.
I know that SMT has a major focus on buffs, debuffs, elemental weaknesses, and strategy overall. Fans always say it's not hard, but you just have to make smart decisions in battle. I'm more worried about my lack of knowledge for demon fusion. I feel like I'll fuse some weaker demons and not realize it or I won't know how to have a balanced party. So then I won't be fully prepared for the battles the game throws at me.
I know Persona as a series shares similarities, since it was originally a spinoff, and I also know it's easier, but still challenging. I haven't beaten any Persona games yet though. I own all of them, along with all of the SMT games, but I kept dropping them in high school due to various reasons. That was 7 years ago though and I have been much better at beating games lately.
So my question is: is the Persona series a good entry point into getting better and learning how to play SMT as a whole? Will playing Persona 4: Golden prepare me for Shin Megami Tensei IV and V? I'm told IV is the most accessible entry so I'll probably start there or with V because it looks amazing. I just want to make sure I've had enough experience with the battle system before I tackle the core SMT games.

2021.10.24 14:52 Floopsy7 Autocompounding Cake Vaults. Week: 25

With so many Cake Vaults on the BSC ecosystem, I wanted to see which was the best for me. So I've staked 5 $Cake into auto-compounding vaults and created a GoogleSheets to compare them all: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ECUIcxAKd2xJv7aibrr9UkBwvYcoWEjRD-1qkLH9Ryo/edit?usp=sharing

The 3 main points I wanted to answer were:

  1. Which Auto-compounding vaults perform better than PancakeSwap (Table 1)
  2. Which vaults over the same time period would perform better than PancakeSwap (Table 4)
  3. Are the Reported APY rewards the same as what I am getting. (Table 3)

Table of Contents:
  1. Week over week on all vaults relative to PancakeSwap (i.e. which vaults did betteworse than PancakeSwap)
  2. Current State of all active vaults (from start week to now).
  3. APY comparison (Projected APY using rewards vs what is "Reported" on the vault page)
  4. Over the same time period, was this vault better than PancakeSwap?
  5. Retired/previous Vaults
  6. Vault waiting list (To skip the waiting list see point 2 under general comments)
  7. Personal and general comments

  1. Comparison of all vaults between weeks 24 to 25, normalised against PancakeSwap in terms of Cake change and Total value change. (e.g. Relative to PancakeSwap, JetFuel was 9.67% better in terms of Cake change, or ACryptoS was 33.89% better in terms of Total value (Total value is calculated in USD with both Cake and "other tokens")).

7. Personal thoughts and strategies moving forward:
  1. For the ACryptoS vaults, the 2.5x vault is now 1.84x due to token prices differentially changing.
  2. I missed posting Week 24 due to personal reasons but captured the data.
    1. Wheat.Growth was very impressive in between Weeks 23 and 24! A 1100%+ better relative performence in Total returns! This was mainly due to the price of Wheat increasing 50%.
    2. Pinecone also had an impressive return at 158% relative to PCS.
  3. Wheat recently changed their website and I like it.
  4. $Cake price has been relative "Stable" even though the whole CC marketcap has increased like 50%, though even Eth's biggest DEX - UNI - hasn't increased either. Maybe an indication that people are just day trading Crypto rather than investing in the ecosystems around the coins?

General comments:
  1. For those who want to check out the wallet, the address is: 0x7ae09019Ac8FdcDC4a3bcaB04B4BEe1E65D2A457 .
  2. If anyone wants to "Sponsor" a vault to add, then send 5 Cake to the address above and message me with the your wallet address and vault you want to sponsor. This Cake (and profit) will be returned whenever the sponser wants it back (minus the fees to approve/stake/withdraw/performance/network).
  3. Past performance is not indicative of future results
  4. No consideration was given to security, DYOR on the vaults
  5. This is not financial advice
  6. All the projects have different levels of information that I could get from reading the Docs so if something is wrong please let me know!.
  7. Reported fees are now only on GoogleSheets unless I spot a change.
  8. The projected APYs use data from Week 15 to current. Going forward I will use the last 3 - 4 weeks to project the APY/APR.
  9. Statement of conflict of interest, I do have holdings in: AutoFarm, Beefy, and Moonpots.
Week 22: https://www.reddit.com/pancakeswap/comments/q0jo56/autocompounding_cake_vaults_week_22/
Week 21: https://www.reddit.com/pancakeswap/comments/pvtof3/autocompounding_cake_vaults_week_21/
Week 20: https://www.reddit.com/pancakeswap/comments/pr5vtz/autocompounding_cake_vaults_week_20/
Week 19: https://www.reddit.com/pancakeswap/comments/pn1ov8/autocompounding_cake_vaults_week_19/

tl;dr - In between weeks 24 and 25, you were better off staking your cake in: ACryptoS (2.5x)m AutoShark, AcryptoS, The Grand Banks, Cub Finance, JetFuel, PancakeBunny, Moonpots, and Beefy than in PancakeSwap for the most profit. Vaults that aren't performing as advertised are: ACryptoS (2.5x), PancakeHunny, Squirrel, and Wheat.Growth.
For profit the data indicates that the following vaults were best:
  1. Pinecone
  2. Wheat.Growth
  3. ACryptoS (2.5x)
  4. AutoShark

2021.10.24 14:52 Pleronomicon The great spiritual resignation (a parable).

Imagine for a moment a house built on a hill in an enchanted forest. The occupants of this house are good people. They respect the land and the natural order of the general habitat. They live off of the land and give back when they can. There is a relationship of mutual love and respect between the household and the forest life. Things are good.
Then one day, the occupants of the house move out, and the new people move in, who lack respect for the very environment upon which they depend. They pollute the land, overhunt the wildlife, treat the animals with cruelty, and simply do not appreciate what they have, at all. This goes on to the point that the wildlife have simply moved on to a more hospitable environment.
Now the locals warned these people constantly, to respect the forest, lest the forest takes back its blessings, but being the fools they are, the new occupants laugh it off.
So one day, the trees conspire together: "Let us uproot ourselves the next time the rains come at mid-night and the soil becomes soft. Together we shall find a new home, where the land is respected, and the soil is good to our roots."
Thus the trees agree and wait for the opportune moment, and finally, the rainstorms come at mid-night with loud, terrible thunder. It softens the soil so that their roots easily free themselves, and the thunder covers the march of the enchanted trees, while the fools sleep in their drunkenness. The trees have freed themselves, and the Spirit has empowered their roots to become as legs, so that they could find a new home.
The forest has withdrawn its already alienated blessings, and with the tree roots no longer there to hold the earth together, the rains wash the fools and their house of vanities away...no one around to witness the calamity, no one to remember the fools who thought they owned the world.

For anyone who lives a Spirit filled life, seeking first the righteousness of God, you are the trees. As God blesses you, you grow strong and you share your blessings with your environment. Your branches provide shade to the wildlife, and homes to squirrels and birds. Your roots, together with the roots of the other trees hold the ground together, so that land dwellers can build their homes in stability.
The moral of the story: The world needs the righteous man more than the righteous man needs the world. Do not cast your pearls to the swine, when you know from experience that it will be trampled. All you have to do is move on, and the ground will be washed out from underneath the exploiters of the world, as they sleep.
If you notice that your presence is enabling the exploiters to continue their exploitation, then all you have to do is ask God to give you the power to relocate yourself, and your roots will become legs upon which you can simply walk away, and they will carry you to where ever the Spirit leads.
Do not be lulled into the false sense of security that the world promises you. The world has become a museum of empty promises, gaslighting, and threats. But you know better than to believe the world's propaganda. You know to walk by faith, and not by sight. God loves you, and He will take care of you so long as you abide in the love of Christ. You do not need anything from the world. It is the world that needs you.
Heaven and earth will pass away. Do not pass with it.

2021.10.24 14:52 yourmak3r Exit Strategy

I know HODLTHEHUT and everything but when will you sell at least a portion of your shares, given that BTC might crash 50-80% in this cycle as it has done in previous cycles?
My personal PT is to sell a portion of my shares when BTC hits 100k and let the rest ride + buy the dip when the aforementioned and statistically likely crash happens.
My average SP is 6 euros so I'd love to get a 3-4x on my investment with BTC around 100k.
Curious to hear about your strategies.
